LDAP is wonderful.  The Python libraries make it simple to manage.    I actually keep everything from authentication and NSS data to virtual host specifics and Apache configurations in LDAP.  I've put together a series of LDAP classes such that adding and managing nodes can be done via an ORM-like interface.&lt;/p&gt;
